Thoughts on Success

You heard it before haven't you? "Rome wasn't built in a day."

So is success. And everything else worthwhile.



If you read the biographies of the most successful people that ever lived, they will tell you that it was when their chips were down they discovered their personal breakthroughs.




They say, to experience real success you must experience failure first. It's the place we learn the steps, the curves and the concept of success and how to put it altogether in a consistent basis. And that only begins when we have the right attitude towards adversities, failures and disappointments.

It reveals to us who we really are, what we are made of.

When your chips are down - don't loose heart, get discouraged or worse - give up! And "don't play the BLAME game."


How we react, respond to adversities and how we bounce back is a major key component.




We have to be mentally fit and strong in order to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves and our future. They say in sports that "it's 80% mental and 20% physical." So it is in the "game of life."

If we allow petty stuff, distractions, frustrations, personal dramas and setbacks no matter how small they are affect us, our journey becomes more challenging. Those "pebbles" on the road becomes huge boulders in our life even though in reality they are just that... "pebbles." We won't go nowhere with our careers, relationships and dreams...

So make a habit of deciding every day not to sweat on the small stuff. Because in reality, they are just that... "small stuff."

And if it so happens that you are having a major crisis, "hang in there." Keep in mind, that all events that happens to us, are there for a good reason. We might not understand them right away, see the value or fairness of what's going on. But know this - It's there to make us better, smarter, wiser.

Remember you are AWESOME! Don't short change yourself.

We are all here created equal. Uniquely gifted and blessed to make a positive impact to the people around us. Reaffirm your birth right because you are special. Created for a purpose by the Master Designer Himself. Focus on your strengths, your talents, your gifts and your goals.

Every day is beautiful... an opportunity....

Refuse to allow negativity in your life....

I understand that there will be times of mourning, of tears, sorrow and pain and loss... That's okay! It's normal to feel those emotions. That's just part of being human. Just don't stay there and dwell too long! It doesn't help. It never does.

The best way to bounce back when you fall from a horse is to pick yourself up and dust yourself off as the song goes... And QUICKLY ride on that horse again.

It's time to move on... Move forward! To harvest, cultivate, to explore new things, ideas and places... New relationships or rekindle some....

And today....

Is your time... to shine....


Focus on what's positive, empowering, energizing...
...not on the limitations , but the possibilities.

If you want better results, have a better attitude....

Reflections for Lent

Here are wonderful Lent reflections from God's Words from the Scriptures.

"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
Ephesians 3:16-17

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved."
- Ephesians 2:4-5


"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16



The above passages from His Word tells us how enormous, immeasurable and infinite God's love for each of us is. He sent His Only Son who is sinless and blameless to die for you and for me. He loved us...

That much...

He also tells us that the ones who truly love Him, are the ones who obeys his commandments.

If you remember in the New Testament God said that He has a new commandment and that is this...

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34

He also said...

“If you love only those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."
Luke 6:32-36

Where charity and love are found, there is God.

Let us fear and love Him, and love each other from the depths of our hearts. Let there be an end to bitterness and quarrels, an end to strife.

Because where charity and love are found, there is God.

Emily Bear on Ellen 5th appearance

She plays a song she originally wrote for the Children of Los Angeles. She wrote this for them and I quote, "that they may have many, many, many, tomorrows..." "And many, many, many, many, many, many wishes..."




She is simply amazing as her music. She performs this particular piece at the Ellen's Show.
