People like us get so excited about the New Year. Don't we? Why is that? It is because New Year symbolizes a fresh start, something positive, starting over, something to look forward to or something like that. And it's different for everyone. But whatever it is for you, it brings hope, excitement and good energy. Doesn't it? That is why millions and millions of people around the world celebrate it every year!
So today on New Year's Day, before we enter and embrace on the new promises and hopes of what New Year brings, let's make sure we go into the New Year with new shoes and new clothes metaphorically speaking. Let's create a new attitude. New positive energy to start our New Year right.
To do that we ask or Good Lord, to help us get rid of the old ones and let go of them
Heavenly Father, the past we give to you. The things that held us back, our reactions, our over reactions that might have hurt others or ourselves, the people that we allowed to affect our peace, our attitudes, and our lives in a negative way instead of growing in a positive way, here you go Lord... We leave behind us before your feet all our disappointments, frustrations, brokenness, heartaches, pain, bitterness and our physical sickness....
As we enter this New Year, a new chapter in our lives, help us Lord, to see more the good and beauty in others and ourselves, to be more constructive than critical or judgmental. For that is what you command of us. Bless us with a new attitude and positive mind set that you may fill our homes with so much grace and healing. Filled not only with a positive energy but with a God filled presence.
Bless us with good health, divine protection, new opportunities to grow as a person and in our careers... Open the doors of heaven and shower us with many blessings to bless others..
Give us a new, pure and clean heart, so you may dwell in it and make it your home. Finally, breathe in us new life so that we may be more alive in mind, body and spirit in this coming year...
We praise You and thank You, our Lord and our God, our Savior and our dearest Friend, Amen.
